Functions

It makes emergency stopping of a conveyor belt possible from every place, on its full-length. The maximum length of a wire is 100 m (50 meters on each site). It assures work safety near a conveyor belt according to the harmonized EU norms:

Application

Pull-wire switches are required where people have an access to conveyor belts. According to safety norms’ restrictions, the possibility of stopping belt from every place along its length must be secured. In the case of a belt more than a couple meters long, STOP switch near its drive does not fulfill these criteria.

LHPE switches are especially recommended for heavy industry and technological lines in the open air conditions, where temperatures’ changes disqualify simple switches of other producers.

Description

LHPEw-10/2-B pull-wire switches are equipped with a lever to which there are two emergency wires fastened (one on each side). The lever could be in the three different positions. In the neutral position, the lever is situated vertically (balanced) thanks to the spring assembled at the opposite wire’s ends. After pulling one of the wires, switch of the control contacts and simultaneous lever’s blockade take place. The return to neutral connection is only possible by manual reset (blue switch). If one of the wires is broken (cut) when the lever is in neutral position, the activation of contacts also takes place as the result of spring mechanism operation. Also in a very improbable case of contacts’ damage by short circuit, there is an automatic switching-off.

The characteristic feature of the LHPE switches is durability, which, together with IP 67 casing, enables to use LHPE switches in typical industrial, difficult conditions. The device has been designed in a way that it fulfills current harmonized EU norms’ restrictions. It is; inter alia, connected with automatically generated signal of the wire’s breaking, durability to exterior conditions – vibrations, temperature, humidity and other, manual resetting and with other essential aspects that influences work’s reliability.
