Lifeline 4 Pull-wire Switch Functions
Pull-wire switches assure quick stopping of conveyor belts or other sizeable devices from any place. Pulling the wire causes an emergency stopping of a device. These switches assure work safety near a conveyor belt according to the harmonized EU norms: Application
Pull-wire switches are required where people have an access to conveyor belts. According to safety norms’ restrictions, the possibility of stopping belt from every place along its length must be secured. In the case of a belt more than a couple meters long, STOP switch near its drive does not fulfill these criteria.
Description
Lifeline 4 pull-wire switches are designed for wire’s installation on one side. Depending on conditions, wire’s length cannot exceed 75 m. For the conditions of heavy dusting and longer conveyor belt, we recommend using the switches from LHPE series. According to PN-EN 60497 and PN-EN 418 a stopping takes place both in a case of pulling a wire and in a case of its breaking or looseness. After the activation there is a mechanical blockade of the switch. Unblocking can be made only manually, directly on a switch. The condition of a switch can be monitored directly through a little window with the special indicator (normal operation, wire has been pulled, wire is broken). Technical parameters:
